FAQs

How much does it cost?

Gentle Nudge Me is priced to be accessible to folks who want to achieve their goals. The investment for Gentle Nudge Me is just $97 for each 28-day cycle.

That’s less than $3.50 a day to keep you on track! You could spend that much on coffee (if you’re a coffee drinker). Or on magazines. Or on the data plan for your smart phone! It’s worth sacrificing a cup of coffee to get the results you have been chasing for years and years.

I have a hard time setting goals, let alone achieving them. Will you help me?

Of course! Our Gentle Nudge Me accountability specialists can help you narrow your options into a single goal, If your goal is too broad, it’s easy to get discouraged.

We help you break your big goal into smaller bites that can be achieved over the course of the Gentle Nudge Me cycle. Remember, >we are here to help you succeed.

What if my goal doesn’t neatly fit into a 28-day block?

There are a couple of solutions: 1) decide if your goal is too broad and can be trimmed down; or 2) keep the larger picture and work on milestones that can be accomplished in one or two weeks.

Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and you don’t have to accomplish EVERYTHING in 28-days. Taking steady, consistent steps with encouragement and support is the formula for success.

The Gentle Nudge Me groups are ongoing. You can continue to work on one your goal OR choose a new goal for each session. It’s up to you. Remember, your support never takes a vacation – we’re there 24/7, 365 days a year with a bonus day on Leap Year.

We ask that you fully commit to Gentle Nudge Me. Results don’t happen in a few days or even a couple of weeks. It takes some folks two or three 28-day cycles to really establish a solid pattern of check-ins and progress. Many team members continue for much longer.

What if I stumble and don’t meet my goal?

Gentle Nudge Me is a place of safety and forgiveness. All of us fall short of our goals on occasion. Sometimes the goal is too ambitious. Sometimes it is too vague.

You are the only one who determines your level of success in Gentle Nudge Me and your response to it; we never condemn, scold or chide. It is our job to cheer you on when you succeed and to lift you up when you stumble and fall.

If you need help, ask for it! Lanie Dobson is a strong advocate for you as you move toward your goal. She can offer helpful hints and shore up your enthusiasm if it wanes.

We discourage giving advice to your teammates because it can be construed as “one-up-manship” which is never tolerated here. We are all equals in our quest for success.

Do I have to do check in every day? What if I forget?

Checking in is your way of showing your commitment to accountability. But life gets in the way and you may miss a few days of check in. Or you go on vacation and have no access to the internet or no interest in working on your goals. That’s fine, especially if you let us know what’s going on.

But if you are Absent Without Leave (AWOL) too long, we’ll be in touch to find you again. Your Accountability Specialist will track you down, call you and otherwise bug you until we know you are OK.

Your teammates will be looking for you, too. Their positive, encouraging comments will appear in your email InBox the day they are posted, even if you don’t check in.

Do I have to leave comments for the others? What if I don’t know what to say?

What sets Gentle Nudge Me apart from other accountability programs is mutual encouragement. You can’t go wrong with a simple “Way to go!” comment, but chances are, as you get to know your teammates you’ll want to say more.

Remember, you don’t have to make comments every day, but it’s nice to receive the email letting you know someone did make a comment.

The support of your team is important to your success and your support is important to their success, as well. It’s nice synchronicity.

I’m a very private person and I don’t know any of the people on my team. Do I have to use my real name?

While we encourage you to be open about your goals and progress, you may share only as much personal information as you choose. So, no, you do not have to use your real name.

When you set up your profile you can use any name (or nickname) you chose. Likewise, the information you share on your profile is entirely up to you; share as little or as much as you like.

How secure is my information?

Gentle Nudge Me is based on the algorithm of a program called Finish Agent, which secures all our data. The program is not connected to any other outside program, such as Facebook or social media, so there is little chance of the information leaking into obscure reaches of the internet.

The only people who can see and read your entries are your teammates and the Gentle Nudge Me Accountability Specialists and coaches. And they hold your information in the strictest confidence.

So, if you choose, dump out your heart. Share your deepest fears. Your secrets are held close and never divulged.

How long do I have to stick around?

We gently suggest that you make a commitment of at least three Gentle Nudge Me cycles (28 days each). It takes that long to settle into a solid routine of checking in and making progress toward your goals. There is no contract, however.

To ensure continuity of service, your membership will auto-renew for the next Gentle Nudge Me 28-day/4-week cycle (I know, I hate auto renewals, too, but it’s the best way to make sure no one fell off our radar, which happened early on …).

You’ll get an email reminder that your Gentle Nudge Me membership is slated to auto renew. If you decide to take a break from Gentle Nudge please let us know before the end of the 28 days so we can stop your payments. The best way to suspend your membership is by sending an email directly to Lanie Dobson (lanie at gentlenudge.me), our Gentle Nudge Me Accountability Specialist.

IMPORTANT: Gentle Nudge Me is based on a four-week schedule, NOT a calendar month. Sessions start every 28 days, NOT every 30 or 31 days.

If I don’t like it, can I get a refund?

Ah… that’s a tricky question… you joined Gentle Nudge Me to hold yourself accountable for your goals. If you opt out before you even begin, you are being rewarded for NOT following through on your goals. Once the session begins, stick with it until the end – you may change your mind.

However, if you sign up for Gentle Nudge Me, take the pre-session training and decide it’s not for you, just let us know promptly by email ( lanie at gentlenudge.me ). We will refund your money but ONLY if you do not establish a profile and check in. After your first check-in, you are considered part of that accountability team and that cycle. Please don’t let your team members down!

Cancellations must be received no later than the first 24 hours of the start of a new Gentle Nudge Me cycle. We make refunds promptly to your credit card on file. No, we do not offer refunds in arrears (for previous cycles or cycles that have already started, especially if you have checked in during that time). That’s unfair to us and the others on your accountability team.

Does it really work?

In a word, Yes, it works. But only if you are truly ready to take responsibility for yourself and your accomplishments. It will fail if you are looking for yet another failed experiment to prove that you can’t finish anything (shockingly, our human brain looks for a way to be RIGHT about its beliefs).

So here’s our question to you: Are you ready to do it differently this time? Good! Then sign up here:
